It’s spring, and we uncovered the car from hiding.

There exists on the next planet a monolithic tower with infinite power.

Ha. Okay, so it was just a glossy glass rendering test in Yafaray. Nothing that dramatic.

I can’t believe I haven’t posted this one before.

I made it a while ago and it’s arguably the best poster I’ve done to date. I don’t know why, I just like it a lot.

Perhaps a bit simplistic, but I’ll call it pure minimalism.

(No joke, minimalism is actually really difficult to do properly)

Goodness I’ve about had it with that word. I’ve heard/said it too many times over the past week. In any event, it’s extremely fortunate that I’ve finished the assignment and (hopefully) will not have to heard it much ever again.

Woot.

Anyway, here’s the assignment. I’m not terribly proud of this since I had such huge ideas and the execution turned out to be more awkward than I had originally planned. So, I admit the whole scene looks really poor, but, whatever. It’s a formative mark and I’m a perfectionist.

Also, I didn’t have time to go to Costco (my favorite printing store) so against all moral objections I had to go to Wal-mart (since I tried London Drugs and they charged me $40 last time, for five prints) which also turned out silly.

I assumed (my bad, I suppose) that Wal-mart, like Costco, would print 11×17″ (my favorite size) so when I started the project I did all the grid math and squares for a poster of those dimensions, neglecting to check if Wal-mart actually printed that size. I finished everything, threw it on a flash drive and drove to Wal-mart; they don’t print 11×17″s. Gah. Cropping would have taken out important information and stretching would destroy the nice squares so I left. Drove home, resized everything properly, drove back, ordered the print, drove around to kill time, drove back, got the print. Woot. The amount of time spent would have justified Costco’s out of the way distance. Also? the 12×18″ at Wal-mart is like, $9. the 11×17″ at Costco is like, $3.25.

Anyway, that’s my rant. It adds fuel to my increasingly anti-Wal-mart ideology.

So I’ve gotten to the point in FL Studio that I could feasibly produce some decent music and I’ve hit a small wall: I don’t have any decent lyrics.

My plan? Outsourcing.

You, my loyal blog readers, can suggest topics and/or specific words for me to write music around.

So… comment below! Whatever you want, keep it G-rated.
